Man Brutally Bludgeoned In Head During Broad Daylight Attack In Lancaster: Police

A man was brutally bludgeoned in the head during a broad daylight assault on a Lancaster street, police announced on Thursday, March 7.

Jaime Raudales was arrested about an hour after the attack, Lancaster City police said. Officers responded to the first block of West Chestnut Street around 9:50 a.m., where they found an adult male suffering from a severe head injury.

Video footage and evidence at the scene revealed that Raudales attacked the victim with an unidentified object before fleeing, authorities said. The victim was rushed to the hospital, though his condition remains unknown.

Raudales was tracked down in the 600 block of North Duke Street and taken into custody, police said. Charges against him are pending.
